My day at JMMS

Today in School I remembered to bring my science stuff to class. Part of my class started the lab we are doing on digestion. Social Studies was horrible! I left my stuff in science so there was my homework and warm-up from yesterday. And she did a warm-up check. Not only that because I did not have my homework with me I had to try to quickly make another chart ,then I did not have one of the answers right so now she thinks I didn't do my reading. Man that was horrible. Anyway in Art we started painting, we we are currently painting a color wheel. In math we had to do like 50 problems on solving equations. In reading we did our library orientation. We can check out books, audio book, get on the computer, type, all that kind of stuff. I wish we had a free period so we could go there and play games on the computer. Also we god our student i.D's and a print out of what our pictures will look like when we buy them. Mine turned out pretty good.

Today at School

Today was our last day of skating in the gym.I was so disappointed. Also in science I forgot ALL my stuff! That was so irresponsible of me. In social studies we learned something about Africa like : there is 52 countries in Africa, and The longest river in the world (the Nile river) is in Africa. Oh and we have a test on it tomorrow! So I'd better study. Also tomorrow we are doing our library orientation. In math class we have really easy homework! Anyway that was my day at school.

Today was a good day in school. In science class we started a new chapter in our text book. In Social Studies Class we watched political t.v. And for social studies in our 5Th mad we got on a polycom communicator (at least I think that's what its called) and talked to kids in Maine! Well we didn't really talked we read our Dear Mr.President letters. It was fun though. There were a lot of great ideas people had issues on the ecosystem, the War in Iraq, Education,and lots of other important issues. Oh and they get their own laptops! And they don't have to wear uniforms. It took us all of 5Th and 6Th mod, which was cool because soon as we got back it was almost time to go. Anyway I had a really good time today especially during our interaction with Maine.

BARAK OBAMA IS PRESIDENT!!!!

I have just found out that Barack Obama will be my president!Our president!I am so happy Barack is President!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And tears r rolling down my face right now!!!!!! Seriously we have waited sooo long 4 this to happen ! Well older people more than me! NOT YES WE CAN ANYMORE BUT YES WE DID! YES WE DID!

Labs, Presidents, and Compounds

Today was a good day in school. In spite of doing absolutely NOTHING in p.e class when we were supposed to be skating . In science class we did a lab on what foods contain starch? In social studies class Ms.Vick had us write a letter to the future president about what we think his top priorities should be...I hope I'm writing to Obama and not McCain. Surprisingly I sort of enjoyed it! Math class was pretty normal . Ms Spencer basically wanted us realize it was second quarter and she wasn't playing with us. She had us write 2ND QUARTER large in our warm-up journal....okay?! Anyway she also showed us this chart about loosing grade points. Anyway in Reading class we talked about compound subjects and compound verbs. We had a lot of homework in total but it is sooo easy! So that was my day.

Today at JamesMadisonMS

Today in science class i had a horrible time!!!! We took a vocabulary test that i hadn't go the chance to study for yet. I was so mad! I thing i did better on the notes test though., because the questions were really easy!

In math class we did some very easy equations, but i was disappointed when she did not give us homework on THAT subject because it was so easy. Instead she gave us homework on some other stuff that was not so easy. In fact it would of been best if she didn't give us any homework at all!

In reading class i was so happy because i got 3 perfect A's on my assignments. Also we began to watch The House of Dies Drear. I know that it is a older movie because i see characters that in the movie are kids- are adults now like Pam from Martin. So far the movie is funny, but i think its supposed to be a horror movie! Trust me it's not scary! In fact the only scary thing about it was this guy !!!

My Classmates blogs

Today I checked out a lot of my classmates blogs. They were all really good! A lot of them pretty much talked about the same things I talked about. That's probably because we all feel the same way about certain situations at school . For example on October 27 a lot of people talked about having way to much homework, including my self. All the blogs that I visited were good. Somethings that were different is when we talked about our creative arts classes. For example I would talk about p.e. and Jessica d. would talk about french.

Today JamesMMS

Today in Physical Education we skated! I love to skate I'm really good at it. Everything was good but this 8th grader was hitting everybody in the head while we were skating. It hurt bad too. But me, Trista and Dione got him back! In math I'm kind of worried because I'm really not getting one thing Ms.Spencer is talking about! I really need to study harder. Reading was better today though. We chilled most of the time and I got an A on my test I'm so happy even though it was a 94% A.

P.S.-The skates I wore looked like this only tan,dirty,and raggedy!

My Day at JamesMMS

Today in science class we got our seats changed (the whole class) I went all the way from the best seat in the science class (table 3 right in front of the board) call to the worst seat (table 6 all the way in the back) but at least I got to sit next to somebody I really know (Trista). In math class we learned about fraction computation. I really didn't understand though so I guess I will have to ask for help. Anyway in Reading Class did a BCR on a story we are reading called Names Nombres. Also Mrs. Miller is showing us what it would be like next quarter if when we start getting graded on behavior. (I think I will get an A) but you never know! So today I had a pretty good day. Oh yeah and we didn't get as much homework today as yesterday! Yesss!

!! Homework Overload !!

Today in school I had a homework overload! In every single class! In science we have just started a new chapter in my text book so we have to take massive notes and study really hard! In social studies we rook a test on the 5 freedoms (it was really easy) and we were about to have no home work then my class started talking a lot and we got a strike 3 assignment! 500 words about what we can do to make Sec.703 a better class ! I barely even talk in my classes ! In math we presented are group projects. Surprisingly my group did really good. We had the whole class laughing! Then we got a take home test so that was even MORE homework! No, it didn't stop there though , we have a ton of reading homework including this blog I'm posting!

Super Reading and Awesome Social Studies

I had a super time in reading language arts yesterday (Friday, October 24,2008). We are beginning to learn about mood words. Ms.Miller(my reading language arts teacher) had us copy like a thousand word from her new computer! I thought I wasn't going to get to copy all of them bot luckily I did. And my hand hurt soooooo much! Also I was voted classroom representative alternate! Even tough I'm was only voted an alternate I am still VERY HAPPY! Also in Ms.Vick's class we went to the library and did a mock vote! I voted for Barak Obama! Even though though our vote dosent really count toward the election I relly want Obama to win!

Back to Wed. and Thurs. to catch up on Posts

I'm going to have to write about Thursday's home-work if i want to catch up on my blogs so here it is. On Wedsday in reading class I read this amazing book with my class called (Dark they were and Golden Eyed ). That book could be made into a good movie and I would go to watch it too. The book was about a family that traveled to Mars in fear of being destroyed on Earth with the war. The father of the family is in fear of Mars destroying his pass. Slowly the family changes along with their crops and animals and the other families there. All the while the father is trying to get them back to Earth. At the end of the story they have developed Martian language and appearances and now are more martian then human. Cool huh! Anyway on Friday Ms.Miller (my reading teacher) gave us a project! To draw a 10 page story book about telling the story from beginning yo end. I cannot draw at all! I'll draw my best to get a good grade... boo hoo !

Yesterdays Trip to the Newseum

Yesterday we went to the Newseum. This was my first time to the Newseum. Some of things I saw where the 5 freedoms walkway, the 9-11 exhibit, the 4-d theater, the awesome view of the capital and much much more. I had a wonderful time. The whole building was made of glass. My favorite part was the 4-d theater. This was so cool. It really popped out the screen! Water sprayed on us and the chairs moved! When the man on the screen shot the gun it looked like it was coming directly toward you! It was amazing!! Another part I like was the view of the capital. You could see the entire building and the trees around it. It was kind of scary being up so high but it felt cool. The people walking down there looked like bugs! Anyway I really had fun on this trip and I hope I can go visit the Newseum again!
